Cup of joys, cup of cheers, of victories are always naturally raised to each other, so why not of pain, and sorrow? Not that we welcome the suffering, but that we can say to its face, "bring down the nails! Put on the crown of thorns...it's alright, for I am hid in Christ!"...the way to my crown of gold is to share in the sufferings of my Lord so I may fully understand why He went through His having me in mind.
